John Pilger – Obama Is A Corporate Marketing Creation

In a recent speech, progressive filmmaker and journalist John Pilger shared his thoughts and insights on the current political situation in the United States of America. Pilger, a hardened-critic of American capitialism, abandoned the progressive line and came out against Obama as “corporate marketing creation”. He cites certain examples from President Obama’s own history and his legislative record.

What makes this speech so fascinating is the rupture of allegiances that Pilger commits to with his finely-crafted words. In addressing the progressives of North America, he wishes to convince them of the façade that is their President, and that their support is better served elsewhere.

Instead of the “sport-like” political game that inevitably sparks up, Pilger’s words remind the alert populace that appearances are more manipulated and crafted than they may seem:
